MONDAY

Advanced Art Smart

Does your child love art or want to improve their art skills? The purpose of Art Smart is to provide your student an opportunity to explore art through directed drawing and different art mediums. Art Smart helps to develop motor skills, hand-eye coordination, and has a large impact on their social and emotional growth. It also enhances their creativity and love of art! Weekly artwork will be taken home each week. Each participant will receive an Art Smart bag of supplies.

 

Cafe Book Club

Bookworms bring your cozy vibes to Cafe Book Club! Each week we come together for coffee shop inspired snacks, a variety of drinks, and bookish crafts before some relaxing reading time. Students can bring their own books or there will be books provided! Students enrolled in Cafe Book Club will also receive a "Bookish Barista" t-shirt!

 

Cheer and Crafts

Ready, set, cheer! In Cheer and Crafts, your child will jump into the exciting world of cheerleading. We will learn fun chants, including new ones from our previous class. Beyond cheer, this class will foster friendships, leadership skills, and a strong sense of community among kids. We will have fun making a new craft each week and focus on character traits to help students gain self-confidence. Join our Sope Creek Cheer Team, where we will build character, stay active, and make friends together! Let’s build spirit, sparkle, and smiles—together!

 

Hip Hop Homies

Does your child like to move and groove? Do they have trouble sitting still when music starts to play? If so, Hip Hop Homies is the class for them! In this class students will be learning different hip hop moves, stretches and terminology! Students will have fun dancing to some of the radio's top (school appropriate) hits. Join us and become one of our homies! Class t-shirt included.

 

It's Magic!

Unlock the Secrets of Magic! In this hands-on class, students will dive into the enchanting world of illusions. Each week, children will learn exciting new magic tricks to amaze their friends and family—plus, they’ll get a trick to take home! Behind every illusion lies a mix of math, science, and engineering, giving students a fun, interactive way to explore STEM. By performing magic, kids will boost critical thinking, build confidence, and discover that learning can be truly magical!

 

Kickball Kids

Does your child like sports? Do they like working with a team? Then Kickball Kids is the FAST Club for you! After a long day at school have your child come and get some if their energy out at Kickball Kids. Your child will have fun learning the rules of the game as well as playing with friends. Exercise is a great way to get fit, increase focus, and decrease stress. On days with bad weather, we will be enjoying other fun games! Come be a part of the Sope Creek Kickball team!

 

ROLL Models

ROLL Models utilizes board games to teach students how to be role models to others. In ROLL Models, students will play fun, competitive board games to practice our school's core values of Stewardship, Citizenship, and Leadership. Students will have the chance to guide other students by earning the title of a "Game Mentor." Game Mentors will patiently teach complex rules, model being respectful, and other vital skills. Games will include popular titles like Monopoly, Settlers of Catan, and other competitive games designed to create real-world opportunities for practicing kindness and strategic thinking.

 

Soccer Stars

Soccer Stars is the perfect place for your aspiring soccer player! This beginning level club will focus on all the basics. Dribbling, shooting, trapping, scrimmage games, athletic conditioning and more! Soccer enhances focus, aerobic capacity, team work and cardiovascular health. I am so excited to share this time with your students! Students should wear athletic clothing and closed toed sneakers on class days. Students are invited to bring their own soccer ball on Mondays, which they can leave with Ms. Smith for the semester and then have returned at the end of the course; or students can bring each Monday. Learn a new sport all while enhancing fitness and having fun! If you already play soccer or have participated in the past; join the fun for some extra practice! Soccer Stars classes vary from semester to semester. Be sure to sign up early so you don’t miss out!

 

Weaving 101

Weaving 101 will introduce your child to the world of weaving. Each week they will work on a weaving project. Weaving has so many benefits for children. It helps with eye hand coordination, fine motor skills and is very relaxing and reduces stress. In addition to these, your child will get to use their creativity to plan their weaving piece.

 

Wildlife Explorers: Journey Through Habitats Around the World

Are you a curious animal lover? In Wildlife Explorers, students will dive into the amazing world of animals and habitats through hands-on activities, nature journals, mini investigations, and fun creature-themed challenges. Each week brings a new adventure as explorers discover fascinating wildlife from rainforests to oceans to icy tundra. This class is perfect for animal lovers and curious learners, as it builds science knowledge, creativity, teamwork, and a love of the natural world!

Art Smart

Physically fit students perform better academically, behave better at school and home, and are simply more comfortable in their own skin. While we know the roles diet, homework, and sleep play in ‘powering up’ a student’s ‘network’ for the classroom, the last 20 years of scientific research has revealed a new, major player in the ‘ready‐to‐learn’ domain – cardiovascular fitness. Cardio Sharp is driven by this relationship between enthusiastic, vigorous play and cognitive and behavioral development. Modified games, sports, and challenges equip students with exciting, efficient tools for realizing the promises of cardiovascular conditioning. Happy, comfortable kids with better grades – that’s our business, that’s our mission. Price includes T-shirt, water bottle!

 

Crafty Kids

Do you love to make things with your hands, use your imagination, and get creative? Come join Crafty Kids! We’ll be painting, gluing, folding, and building all kinds of fun projects together. Open to all students who enjoy art, crafts, and having fun with friends. Sign up today and let’s get crafty!

 

Doodle and Design

Join us for a magical drawing adventure where simple lines turn into amazing pictures! Kids will learn fun, step-by-step ways to draw animals, characters, and more while building confidence and creativity.

 

iCreate

iCreate students will utilize robotics and coding, Bloxels for creating video games, Little Bits programming and engineering, 3-D printing with Computer-aided Design (CAD), and much more. Students will be encouraged to continue projects week to week. We will also utilize various robots and block coding which will lead to Java and-or Python coding. iCreate will be innovative, creative, and fun. Students will receive their own 3-D created object, laptop stickers, and more.

 

Jewelry and Keychain Making

Students will use materials in class to create bracelets, necklaces, or keychains while in class. They will make as many as they want but need to make sure they get as close to finishing as they can. Your child will need to know how to tie knots since this a skill they will need in order to make their creations. They will come home each day with different things they have made.

 

Keyology

Why learn how to play piano? Playing piano improves cognitive development, academic skills and coordination, language skills and literacy. Playing piano is a major stress reducer and makes a big impact on one's health. This course will concentrate on developing student musicality while developing social skills at the same time. As students learn from each other they develop confidence about performing in front of others. They stimulate each other's practice. Students will learn how to read notes, play simple songs, write and create music in connection with music concepts, theory and history of music. *Each student will be provided with an individual keyboard and headphones. Repertoire and Instructions are differentiated based on student performance level and ability. About teacher: Mrs. Eristavi completed a master's in music education and is proficient in piano and accordion.

 

Mats and Chats

Take a deep breath, roll out your mat, and join us for Mats and Chats - a fun, relaxing after-school class where we stretch our bodies and our hearts. Each week, students will explore simple yoga poses, gentle movement, and calming breathing exercises designed just for kids. After yoga, we’ll gather for “chat time,” using gratitude journaling and mindful reflection to share what we’re thankful for and notice the good around us. Through creative prompts, doodles, and short discussions, students will build confidence, kindness, and self-awareness - all while learning how to pause and find calm in their day. No yoga experience needed - just comfy clothes, a yoga mat, and an open mind!

 

Robotic Rangers

In this hands-on Robotics class, students will become inventors, engineers, and problem-solvers as they build and program their own robots. Using LEGO Education kits and simple coding, students will take on exciting design challenges—like creating a race car, a dancing robot, or a machine that completes a mystery mission! Through teamwork, creativity, and experimentation, they’ll learn the basics of robotics, coding logic, and engineering design in a fun, supportive environment. No experience needed—just curiosity, and creativity.

 

The Idea Lab

Get ready to think creatively, work together, and take on exciting STEAM challenges. Come join us in the IDEA LAB, where students will use problem-solving and higher-level thinking to design, build, and experiment both indoors and outdoors. You’ll team up with friends to take on exciting STEAM challenges that stretch your imagination and innovation. From building and designing to experimenting and exploring, you’ll learn to look at problems in new and innovative ways. As you create, collaborate, and have fun, you’ll grow your higher-level thinking skills and discover just how powerful your ideas can be. Collaboration and teamwork are key as we explore fun, hands-on activities that stretch our ingenuity and challenge us to find creative solutions in new and unexpected ways! Brick Builders

Does your child enjoy building with Legos? In Brick Builders they will have fun with minute to win it challenges and other lessons using Legos. Some benefits from children working with Legos are problem solving skills, learning how to plan, teamwork, as well as spatial awareness. Your child can work on all these skills and many others while having fun and being creative!

 

Canva Creators

Step into the world of digital design! In Canva Creators Club, students will discover how to use Canva to design eye-catching graphics, flyers, videos, and presentations. Learn how to combine colors, fonts, and images to communicate ideas clearly and creatively. Perfect for anyone who loves art, technology, or who wants to build design skills for school projects and beyond!

 

Canvas Kids

Canvas Kids is a creative FAST class where children can explore painting in a supportive environment. Each week, they’ll learn simple techniques for working with color, brushstrokes, and design principles. Over the course of the class, every child will complete five canvas paintings they can take home and proudly display. In this class, every child is encouraged to express themselves through their work. Whether your child is new to painting or already loves art, Canvas Kids offers a fun way to build skills, confidence, and friendships through creativity.

Calling all young codebreakers and secret agents! Step into the mysterious world of puzzles, patterns, and hidden messages with the Crypto Club! This isn't just any fast class, it's your gateway to becoming a master decoder. As a junior codebreaker, you’ll crack ancient ciphers, learn how to solve classic puzzles, decode mysterious messages, and uncover secret languages! Each weekly mission brings a new challenge and moves you one step closer to defeating the organization that is attempting to steal all the world’s information. Gain top level clearance by outsmarting the sneakiest of codes and have a blast doing it with your fellow team of cryptographers. Karate Kids

Through the Karate Kids program, your child will learn the basics of traditional Karate including punches, kicks, blocks, self-defense, cardio training and forms. This program is sure to enhance your students level of focus, discipline, respect and self-confidence. We will also focus on topics such as anti-bullying, building self-esteem, creating a positive mindset, and becoming a lifelong learner. Ms. Smith is a third degree black belt, a World Champion competitor in traditional forms and fighting and has over 25 years experience training in martial arts and teaching children. She has competed in Switzerland, Canada, and across the US in karate tournaments. For a fun afternoon of karate training join Karate Kids today! Karate Kids classes vary from semester to semester. If your student has been enrolled previously, they will continue their training as well as learn new techniques! We will be studying Japanese, Yoshukai Karate. All students should wear comfortable clothing and sneakers for class. Be sure to sign up quickly so you don’t miss out!

 

KPOP Kids

Get ready to dance, play, and learn all about the exciting world of K-Pop! In KPOP Kids, students will explore popular K-Pop groups, songs, and trends while discovering what makes this global music phenomenon so special. Each week, students will learn about different K-Pop groups and their hit songs, play games inspired by K-Pop idols and Korean variety shows, create awesome K-Pop crafts like light sticks, fan banners, and photo cards, explore K-Pop culture, fan traditions, and common Korean terms used by fans. Whether you’re a longtime fan or brand new to K-Pop, this club is the perfect place to share your enthusiasm, make new friends, and have a blast celebrating music, creativity, and culture!

 

Namaste At School

Do you want to go home? Namaste at school! After a long day of learning, it's time to reset before going home. "Namaste at School" is a playful and calming experience where children learn gentle poses, breathing exercises, and simple mindfulness techniques. The instructors will guide them through imaginative movements—like stretching tall like a tree or balancing like a flamingo—while encouraging focus, coordination, and body awareness. Soft music, fun themes, and age-appropriate games help keep the energy positive and engaging. By the end of class, kids feel relaxed, confident, and proud of what their bodies can do.

 

Photography Club

In Photography Club, Ms. Keesee, Sope Creek's art teacher, will help students hone their visual eye! Using digital cameras, each week students will be sent off on a mission to find the best shot, considering a theme and fun challenges. With their developed photos, they will make a scrapbook detailing their photog4enic journey! Their scrapbooks/photo albums will be there's to keep! Let's make some memories together! *Digital cameras will be available to use but not to keep!
